Casa 272 begins with a simple premise: design a home first.
The project had to respond to a dual purpose: to function as a residence while adapting to short-term stays, productions, brand campaigns, gatherings, and temporary activities. Rather than designing a setting for each of these uses, we chose to create a genuinely livable space capable of transforming around them.

We deliberately moved away from the aesthetic commonly associated with Miami—polished surfaces, glossy finishes, and predominantly white furniture—to create an atmosphere that felt warmer, more tactile, and more lived-in. Natural materials, durable finishes, and low-maintenance elements allow the house to withstand frequent use without losing its character or warmth. Each space was designed to feel complete on its own. Even in front of a camera, the intention was for it to feel lived in rather than staged.

Furniture, materials, and finishes act as a backdrop with an identity of its own: distinctive enough to give the house character, yet flexible enough to accommodate different configurations and temporary interventions. The result is a warm, flexible, and resilient space, capable of changing its function without changing its essence. A house that can temporarily become many things, while always feeling like a home.
